To electrify your tape fence, attach a Tape to Energizer Connector. Use Tape to Tape Connectors electrify the rest of the fence lines.
Turn on the fence controller and check voltage at the end the of fence. Walk the fence to look for arcing, broken insulators, loose polytape, vegetation touching the fence, etc. Check voltage regularly.
VERY IMPORTANT: Power each section of Safe-Fence as you build it. Never put horses behind Safe-Fence that is not electrified. In very dry areas you may need to take additional measures to insure adequate grounding. In areas with lots of vegetation you might need to disconnect the bottom strand at times to keep grass from arcing to the tape until you can mow. Frequent maintenance along the fence line is recommended to keep unwanted vegetation down.
